I have been talking to a few people about this film a friend mentioned on FB a while back. So I am finally getting around to posting it here where they can find it.
I really want to try this method of gardening. It looks so simple. And my garden area is so weedy it’s hard to keep up with the weeding. And I tried mulching and it always ends up being (at least partly) taken over anyway. So if this works as it shows, it should have great results!! We are wishing we would have started it this summer since I didn’t do a garden. But oh well. I have a local friend who actually does this. And he has been doing it for years, and he says it works and he really likes it too.
If you do watch it, let me know what you think. Or if you have tried it, what your thoughts are on it.
Definitely worth watching! Tho I cleaned my office while watching it cuz it’s so long I didn’t want to waste time. 🙂 It’s kinda one step beyond what I do. I think I’m gonna start doing it with my flowerbeds and herbs and maybe that will be enough to convince Marv. 🙂 But then what would he do with his tractor?? lol Oh, and why don’t you go ahead and get started this year? He says it will be there waiting for whenever you have time to actually garden. I would think it wouldn’t matter so much when you get started.
Yes ma’am!! I plan to start this yr. I gotta call of some chippings yet, that’s what I am waiting on. But we planted corn in the whole field… so I am not sure how it will work. I am thinking of trying to put it between the rows anyway, and let it start!! And never till it up. Oh, and I wanted to talk to you about planting strawberries here, for both of us, if you help with the work & plants.:) Anyway, see you tonight!!
just wanted to add.. I have put mulch on my blueberry plants every year since I’ve planted them and not disturbed it. I went out there the day I watched this movie to deal with some blackberry plants and oak trees that had started to grow in between the bushes and they just pulled right out! the ones at the edge outside of the mulch I couldnot even pull the roots out! So that part of what he says is certainly true. 🙂
Would love to do strawberries!! I was thinking as I picked Ruth’s yest. that doing strawberries his way might be a way that Marv would let me do them! 🙂 And it would be so easy!!
you haven’t been busy have you?? 🙂
