Homemade Sugar Scrub

A sugar scrub is the perfect thing to use to exfoliate and repair dry skin. It’s summer, and if you are like me, my skin is starting to feel dried out. I have had my hands in water so much the past wks with canning, yard work, etc. So it’s a good time to hydrate your hands and feet with an easy to make homemade sugar scrub.

1/4 C. Vegetable Glycerin

1/4 C. Olive Oil

1/2-1 C. White Sugar

2-4 Drops Essential Oils – Lavender, peppermint, vanilla, etc.

Mix well. Scrub onto skin. I like to let it sit a bit, but it really doesn’t matter. Rinse off and feel your skin smile.

You can easily skip the glycerin, just use more oil. Or as this recipe calls for just 1/4 C. Olive oil, and 1 1/2 C. Sugar. There is no science to a recipe, mix oil and sugar until it’s the consistency you like.

Here is a link to lots of different scrub recipes.

Have fun, enjoy, your skin will thank-you for it!!
