I am Lois, A Daughter of the King of Kings, and blessed wife to Delvyn (Feb. ’03). Together we have 4 boys, Collin – May ’05, Jevan – Nov ’07, Rylen – May ’09, & Karson – Oct ’13. And then God blessed us with 2 little girls, Kianna – Oct ’15 and Taliya – July ’19. They are the greatest blessings to ever have been given to us.
As you can imagine, my days are full. Not only am I wife and Mom, but we live on a Dairy Farm, milking around 100 cows, and farming 140 acres. Our life is never dull!! The boys love spending every minute they can with their Dad, be it in the barn, the tractor or snuggled on his lap. I spend my days serving my family, laundry, food prep, baths, and cleaning house behind the whirl wind of messes my boys create.
We love living in the moment, and doing impromptu things. An evening at the park, a walk to the creek, or just playing a game in the yard, be it kick ball or soft ball (a favorite).
My passions in life are Traditional Cooking, Healthy Bodies and Frugal Living. I love to study herbs, use herbs and share with others what I am learning.
We have had an interesting Journey to Wellness. Beginning with miscarriages, and then boys with various odd health issues. My health began going down hill summer of ’10. I have started this blog for a number of reasons –
-I have felt God laying it on my heart to reach out in this way. Deut. 32:1 & 4 was written on the white board at church. I looked it up and read the other verses and the 2 words ‘tender herb’ jumped out at me. And I felt God saying ‘This is the name of your blog that you have been praying about’. So here I am.
-I am wife and mother first, my blog doesn’t have a real high priority!!
A note… please do your own studying on things. When I blog about certain subjects, don’t just take my word for it. Do your own study. I am sure to miss things that may be important for another persons life, even though it may not be so important in my own. Or I may not think it so important. Happy studying!!!
